about

This was the very last track I worked on in the last 15 minutes before the 3pm deadline on Sunday of the Game Jam. Apparently, there was a glitch in the game which caused the cube to float up out of the dungeon toward the camera and the wall textures would freak out. So, Matt turned this "kill screen" into the end-game reward for devouring all of the adventurers in the maze. For this end-game glitch, I was asked to write "victory music" that starts normally and glitches out part of the way through the track. I used the same instrumentation as the intro music, but added a tape delay effect to warp the sound of each instrument about a quarter of the way through this 16 second track. It was quick and dirty as I was working down to the wire, but I'm pleased with the result overall and by coincidence, the glitches in both the music and the game ended up syncing perfectly.
