about

This track was written for the challenging turn-based fantasy RPG TotalPartyKill. In this game, each of the player’s party members only has one life, and death is permanent. With each enemy encounter, the stakes for the player are much higher than in a typical RPG each fight is a struggle to survive.

For the music, I wanted to suggest the uncertainty of venturing into unknown territory. By combining and orchestral instruments, the music evokes both rustic and ethereal qualities. After the piano introduction, which is only meant to play at the beginning, the main section loops throughout the game.
