about

This game is described on the Global Game Jam site as "A game that posits that our pain, suffering, disease, fear, hate, and insecurities are part of a dance; one that is beat out in the rhythm of our human hearts..."
You play as a girl that must escape a bear and unlock gates to reach her goal. You walk a line between two worlds, and the environment changes as you are swept between them. Eagan Rackley had the original idea for the overall sound and structure of this track. He played the ukelele and I built everything else in the track around that performance. As I first listened to Eagan play his musical idea, the rest of the melodic, harmonic, and instrumental elements formed in my mind simultaneously. It felt as if the music simply sprang into existence. Eagan is just as much a composer on this track as I am, as his ukelele performance truly forms the backbone of the music.
