This was the first track I completed for game developer Mike Geig over the Game Jam weekend. I look forward to working with Mike every year because he always has a clear vision the music he wants for his games, and it's very often something unusual. I knew absolutely nothing about his game until the Sunday presentations. All I had to go on in were Mike's requirements that the music sound like a viking funeral dirge, that it run for only 30-45 seconds, and that the music prominently features a hurdy gurdy. Fortunately, I have a MIDI hurdy gurdy in my bag of tricks! Would that make it a midi girdi? A murdy gurdy?
